Artorias was born as the second son of a Viera/Miqo’te couple on a small island near Sharlayan, and enjoyed a happy and peaceful childhood along with his parent and 3 siblings.However, on his twelfth name day, Artorias stowed away on a merchant ship in search of grand adventure, despite having no money to his name. This reckless decision almost led to him being sold into slavery, but he was rescued by a traveling healer who offered to take him on as her apprentice. From then on, Artorias and his mentor traveled together, learning the art of healing and discovering new lands and cultures.Artorias' life turned for the worse during the Seven Umbral Calamity when he lost his mentor. Promised to his late mentor, Artorias carried on her legacy by continuing the journey as a traveling healer.

Not long before he fell in love with a local girl and eventually settled in a small village in Shishu-Hingashi where he took up the trade of goldsmiths.The unlucky man was struck by another tragedy when he lost both his wife and child during childbirth, causing him to become consumed by work to cope with his loss.There is much more that happens in the old bamboo forest which is still a secret to most people, learn it from the man himself if you wish.

Adopted into one of Ishgard’s High Houses as an infant, but raised outside the city-state, Ascella was but a young and sheltered lady until a tragic turn of events left her wandering Eorzea to find her place in the world. She was in the midst of discovering herself and pursuing further education when she met the university senior who taught her lessons not only about conjury, but the ups and downs of life—and eventually, love.

Yeux Baelsar : Adopted little brother
Whether he's in this World or in another World to guide souls or just do various jobs he's needed for, he'll try to free up time to be there for Artorias and Ascella. Be it a special occasion or something more urgent that can threaten their new-found life together. For the most part, it's to just tease the orange bun with an Akh Morn or two.

Choshek Temhota : Adopted Sonny
They met Artorias through Yeux, joking about him being their father who left them for Thaliak's waters. The joke eventually became something more and they became the adopted "Sonny" despite their appearances, but they never cared much about pronouns since Cho will always be both their cursed male viera body and their original female hrothgal one. In their journey as the orange bun's Sonny, they will eventually look up to Artorias as the Pops who's sound advice they will always keep in their heart's like how they would their actual father.
